At Heidelberg Materials, we offer a number of sustainable asphalt options as part of our commitment to reduce our impact on our environment.
Our CleanAir asphalt uses a specialist FreshAir bitumen by Shell, that reduces the production of certain gases and particulate matter by 40% to cut down air pollution.
We also have a number of lower carbon asphalt options, such as our reduced temperature Era Range and our CarbonLock asphalt, which uses biogenic material to lock in 6 tonnes of CO2 rather than releasing it into the atmosphere.
In addition, AgeLast asphalt is designed to increase durability and increase longevity, resulting reduced road maintenance.
We're proud to use recycled materials where possible in our asphalt. Our RecyclePlast repurposes water plastic for durable roads and our foamed asphalt can contain up to 95% recycled materials.
