Recycled aggregates

Another way to produce more sustainable concrete is to use recycled aggregates, instead of virgin material. We have recycled sand and gravel packages available specifically for concrete manufacturing.

Heidelberg Materials has inaugurated the world’s first industrial-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility at its Brevik cement plant in Norway, capable of capturing up to 400,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.

The UK's first carbon captured cement plant

Heidelberg Materials' proposed carbon capture and storage facility at Padeswood, north Wales, will be the UK’s first net zero cement works, capturing up to 800,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.
