Social value

What Social Value Means to Us

At Heidelberg Materials, social value is the total impact we create for people, communities, and the environment through our operations, partnerships, and long-term commitments. It is a core expression of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and a guiding principle in how we do business.

We believe that delivering social value means going beyond compliance and profit, it’s about building a legacy of shared prosperity, environmental stewardship, and inclusive growth. To bring this vision to life, we have broken down our approach into six key pillars our 6Cs, which encompass our commitments around social value:

  • Collaboration
  • Coequality
  • Championing
  • Community
  • Climate
  • Communication

Together, these 6Cs form the foundation of how we define, deliver, and measure social value. They ensure that our business not only supports economic development but also contributes meaningfully to the wellbeing of people and the health of the planet.
