EasyFill Foam Concrete

EasyFill is our range of foamed concrete, which is a highly workable, air entrained concrete fill material. This free-flowing foam concrete mix can be poured directly into place, without the need for compaction. It’s a quick and efficient solution for various mass concrete fills, from waste treatment pipelines to disused subways and mines.

We developed EasyFill with mass applications in mind, alongside ease of use and low cost. EasyFill can be discharged directly from the trucker mixer or pumped over short distances, making it a flexible and convenient choice for many construction projects.

EasyFill also offers excellent insulating properties, so contact us to request your quote for our versatile foamed concrete solutions.

Foam concrete FAQs

What is foamed concrete?

Foamed concrete is also known as ‘cellular concrete’ or simply ‘foam concrete’. Thanks to its free-flowing nature, foamcrete is self-compacting and can be poured directly into place. Foam concrete solutions are commonly used for mass fill applications, thanks to their speed and ease of use.

How to prepare for a concrete pour

What is the density of foamed concrete?

Foamed concrete from Heidelberg Materials has a density of approximately 1,800kg/m3. It’s available with a 2N/mm2 or 4N/mm2 compressive strength at 28 days.

If you require lower than standard densities, we can work with specialist contractors to produce densities as low as 500kg/m3. Please contact our technical team for more information or learn more about our bespoke concrete capabilities.

How to use EasyFill?

Foamed concrete is simple and easy to use: Simply pour the mix into place to the required level. We recommend you limit the pour depth to a maximum of 2 meters, and 1 meter for lower densities. There is no need to compact the concrete, but deeper sections should be cast over multiple pours.

For more information, download the EasyFill data sheet or read our advice on how to prepare for a concrete pour.

Does foam concrete comply with any standards?

Yes, EasyFill is designed in accordance with Specification for Highways Works, clause 1043, guaranteeing strength and density of the material.
