This may include our own disposal facilities. We utilise our own fleet of modern 8-wheel tippers trucks, to transport the material to the identified disposal point. For more information visit tipper hire.

Importing fill material

If there is a requirement to import fill materials to your site, our experienced team can assist in locating and transporting a suitable source of material such as clays and sand.

Japanese Knotweed

Soils contaminated with Japanese Knotweed are required to be disposed of in specialist disposal facilities in order to comply with current waste disposal regulations. Here at Heidelberg Materials Agecroft Manchester we have access to these facilities and are licensed to carry this type of waste in our modern tipper trucks.

Hazardous soils

Heidelberg Materials Agecroft are licensed to carry hazardous contaminated soils and have access to specialist disposal facilities. We can advise you on pre disposal treatments which can be carried out to reduce certain types of contamination in soils which can prove to be very cost effective compared to disposal directly to hazardous landfill.

Waste documentation

Our experienced staff can handle the whole process on behalf of our customers, including the provision of all required waste documentation to ensure that your waste soils are disposed of in full compliance with current waste regulations.

Heidelberg Materials Recycling

Disposal Facilities

Heidelberg Materials Agecroft owns and operates a fully licensed 13-acre waste recycling facility in Swinton, Manchester for hardcore, inert soils and commercial waste.

Why choose Heidelberg Materials’ waste transfer station?

  • 13-acre recycling centre
  • Weighbridge facilities
  • Disposal for inert soils, brick and concrete
  • Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste
  • Municipal waste
  • Quick, safe turnaround for vehicles
  • Conveniently located for Manchester and surrounding areas

We operate a fully licensed 13-acre waste transfer facility and are able to accept and process most waste types. We are conveniently located within easy access of all major transport links and only 2 miles from Manchester city centre.

Types of waste we accept include hardcore, inert soils and commercial waste.

The hardcore is processed to produce a range of quality recycled aggregates which conform to WRAP protocol and are used in construction and civil engineering projects.

Inert soils are processed and screened to extract stone and hardcore which is used to produce recycled aggregate.

We can accommodate and welcome both tipper and grab trucks, which prove to be very popular within the highway, utility and demolition sectors.

All vehicles are weighed both on arrival and when leaving the site using our fully calibrated weighbridges.

Commercial waste is pre-sorted, segregated, and recycled where possible, and we work hard to recycle up to 90% of waste received.

PLEASE NOTE, you must be a licensed waste carrier to use any of our disposal facilities. To comply with the duty of care regulations, a suitable waste transfer note and soil test results (where applicable) must be provided prior to tipping.
