Resuming supply of aggregate to Hampshire construction market via Fareham depot
We are resuming supply of premium grade limestone for use in construction from our Station Road, Fareham depot from 10 February 2026.
This marks our return to directly supplying the Hampshire market through the resumption of our own operations at the rail-connected site, following several years hiatus.
The move is part of our strategy to fully utilise our network of rail-connected depots and will reduce vehicle movements and associated CO₂ emissions.
As well as offering customers limestone direct from our Whatley quarry in the Mendips, the Fareham depot will also supply an extensive range of aggregate products for use in building or specialist applications. The depot is expected to handle around 150,000 tonnes of material a year, rising to approximately 200,000 tonnes over the next three years.
Vincent Pitt, Area Manager for Mendips and Masters, said: “We are excited to be returning to our Fareham depot. We see resuming direct supply to the area as a real vote of confidence in the future of the Hampshire market and we look forward to developing relationships with existing customers as well as developing new ones.”
Jim Pearce, Strategic and Commercial Excellence Manager, added: “Our Fareham depot, located close to the A27, is well-placed to service many of the major schemes currently underway or about to start in the region as well as smaller-scale projects in Southampton and Portsmouth.”
