This is more than just a logistics job – this is your chance to step into a central role in our day-to-day operations, making key decisions that keep our business running smoothly. As a Shipper, you’ll be the vital link between our customers, plants, drivers, and commercial teams, ensuring that our concrete gets where it needs to go, exactly when it needs to be there.
Taking ownership of customer orders and delivery schedules for our local plant clusters, managing logistics in real time to maximise efficiency and service
Working closely with hauliers and drivers, solving problems on the go, and ensuring trucks are used to their full potential
Reacting quickly to plant breakdowns or delays, finding smart solutions and communicating clearly with both internal teams and customers
Optimising performance against our key KPIs – Volume, On Time Delivery (OTD), and Fleet Utilisation – using data and tools to make the right calls
Building relationships with key customers in the region and understanding their needs so we can stay one step ahead
Collaborating daily with commercial teams, transport, and plant staff to ensure smooth, reliable service
Driving cost-efficiency, reducing empty miles, and keeping a close eye on the impact of decisions
About you
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re calm under pressure, enjoy fast-paced environments, and love solving problems on the go. You’re someone who can confidently coordinate multiple moving parts and take pride in delivering exceptional service.

Communicates clearly and confidently
Can multitask and adapt to changing situations throughout the day

Understands the importance of planning, but is ready to jump in when things don’t go to plan
Has strong attention to detail and can spot inefficiencies quickly
Enjoys working with a variety of people across different roles
You’ll ideally bring:
GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
Previous experience in logistics, customer service, or transport planning (especially in a fast-moving or industrial environment)
A proactive, positive attitude with the confidence to take the lead when needed
