The A414 upgrade in Hertfordshire showcases a range of innovative durable, low carbon asphalt solutions to help National Highways in its quest to achieve net zero for its road construction and maintenance activities by 2040. Among the solutions being trialled are our ERA warm mix asphalt, the use of waste recycled plastic and a stress absorbing membrane interlayer to prevent reflective cracking due to the underlying concrete structure.
