Highways UK 2025 Touch Screen Quiz Terms and Conditions

How to enter
  • Entrants must be aged 18 or over. If aged under 18, entrants must have permission from a parent or guardian. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of entrants under 18 agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant.
  • Entrants must answer all questions on the Heidelberg Materials Highways UK 2025 touch screen quiz taking place at the Highways UK 2025 exhibition, and provide their name and email address.
  • By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions, please contact marketing@uk.heidelbergmaterials.com
  • Heidelberg Materials reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  • The quiz entries are valid only on 15/10/2025 (closing at 6pm) and 16/10/2025 (closing at 4pm). Entries received after the stated closing dates will not be accepted.
  • Unless otherwise stated, the competition is not open to employees of Heidelberg Materials, their families, agents, or any third party associated with the competition.
  • The prize for the person in first position on the leaderboard for each day is a hamper worth up to £100. In case of joint winners, both will receive a hamper of lesser or equal value.
  • Heidelberg Materials reserves the right to substitute the prize for other items of at least equal value, at its discretion.
  • Only one entry per person is permitted.
  • By entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Heidelberg Materials may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw or competition.
  • Incomplete entries will not be considered.
  • Heidelberg Materials reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize draw or competition.
The Draw
  • Winners will be selected based on the highest score on the leaderboard after the closing date, by an independent person, or under the supervision of an independent person, and will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) within 7 days of being chosen and must provide a postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to Heidelberg Materials within 14 days of being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited, and Heidelberg Materials will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
  • The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. Heidelberg Materials reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value, at its discretion.
  • Prize winners will receive their prizes within 10-14 working days after the closing date.
  • All entrants, including winners, agree to be photographed for publicity purposes.
  • The decision of Heidelberg Materials regarding any aspect of the prize draw or competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  • Heidelberg Materials reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
Limitation of liability
  • Insofar as is permitted by law, Heidelberg Materials, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Heidelberg Materials, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Data protection and publicity
  • Data may be used for marketing purposes unless the user opts out of receiving promotional communications from Heidelberg Materials.
  • Heidelberg Materials is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Heidelberg Materials' privacy policy, which is available here: www.heidelbergmaterials.co.uk/en/privacy-policy
  • By entering, you agree that any personal information provided by you with your entry may be held and used by Heidelberg Materials or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
  • Entrants will not be compromised by the publication of excessive personal information.
Governing law
  • All our prize draws and competitions will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
  • Heidelberg Materials reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published on the website.
